Five people injured as a result of car accident at drift festival in Bishkek

Bishkek, July 22, 2019. / Kabar /. On July 21, car competitions held by Sun marketing / Sun People company took place on Victory Square in Bishkek, during which 5 people were injured.
The press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported that, earlier the event organizers appealed the Sverdlovsk regional administration for permission to hold it. Permission was given on the condition that the participants and guests of the festival were provided with necessary security measures. However, the requirements were not met. For this reason, the municipality intends to ban such events.
The incident occurred at about 13:00 hours of the day. 32-year-old L. A., while driving a Toyota Mark II right-hand drive car, making a maneuver, lost control on Frunze Street and hit people.
As a result of the accident, five people were injured.
