7.6 mln tourists expected to visit Kyrgyzstan by end of 2019

Bishkek, July 22, 2019. /Kabar/. By the end of 2019, 600 thousand more tourists are expected to visit Kyrgyzstan than in 2018, Maksat Damir uulu, Department of Tourism Director told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He noted that 7.6 million tourists are expected to visit the country by the end of the year, in 2018 this figure was 7 million people.
"It is possible this year to break records for visiting Kyrgyzstan, because according to the first quarter of 2019, the number of foreign visitors increased by 27% or by 433 thousand people," he explained.
Maksat Damir uulu said Kyrgyzstan is creating favorable conditions for attracting tourists, in particular, adopted a strategic program, which created a marketing plan.
"A visa-free regime has also been introduced for another 7 countries, and now tourists from 52 countries can visit Kyrgyzstan without a visa. We also took part in various tourism exhibitions and were represented in Dubai for the first time," he said.
