Kyrgyz athletes win two medals at Asian karate championship in Uzbekistan

Bishkek, July 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz athletes performed at the Asian Karate Championship in Uzbekistan.
Director of the Kyrgyz Karate Federation Dmitry Kazanov said that the tournament was held in Tashkent on July 19-21, where participants from 33 countries competed for prizes. Kyrgyzstan was represented by 14 athletes.
"We won two medals," he said. "Rafael Akbarov took the second place in the weight category up to 60 kg. Third place went to Kymbat Toitonova in the category up 61kg.
Thus, Kyrgyzstan’s national team has silver and bronze medals.
