Bishkek, July 22, 2019 /Kabar/. There is an increase in the number of rare species of red-listed and migratory birds in protected natural areas in Kyrgyzstan.
The press service of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry under the Government said that more than 350 species of rare migratory wild birds come in Kyrgyzstan every year.
Employees of the Agency constantly carry out explanatory work with local residents, encouraging them to take care of the environment, flora and fauna, as well as keep records and monitor the increase or decrease of certain species of wild birds and animals.
At present there are more than 400 species of rare wild birds in Kyrgyzstan, 57 of which are listed in the Red Book of Kyrgyzstan. 233 nest on the territory of the country, of which 114 are settled, 119 are migratory, 109 are flying away, 20 are migratory and 28 are wintering.
