AKIPRESS.COM - The light rail transit (LRT) in the city of Nur-Sultan is planned to be built by 2020, Deputy Prime Minister Zhenis Kasymbek told a press conference.
The city administration on Thursday will present variants and mechanisms of implementation of this project, he noted.
The Vice PM said more than 80 billion tenge are frozen in the Astana Bank. These will be taken for the project after the central bank and the Ministry of Finance take the necessary measures.
The final decision will be officially reported after the session of the state commission, he added.
The total cost of the project is 698 billion tenge.
Construction was supposed to be funded by the China Development Bank, as well as internal financial resources.
