AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Prime Minister Jenish Razakov and Minister of Interior Kashkar Junushaliyev arrived in Batken region, police reported. They have been in the hospital of Aksai village, where Kyrgyz nationals were brought after Kyrgyz-Tajik border conflict on July 22.
Among those injured are police officers. They received traumas as a result of stone throwing and shootouts.
The Interior Minister wished them a speedy recovery.
Doctors said the condition of other patients is stable.
The border conflict occurred between Kyrgyz and Tajik nationals after the Tajik side set up a flagpole of their country at the disputed area of the border, which sparked anger among Kyrgyz villagers.
The Isfara-Vorukh road is closed today. Border authorities of the countries are their for joint actions on prevention of escalation of the situation.
