Batken-Leilek road reportedly blocked by Tajik servicemen

AKIPRESS.COM - The Tajik servicemen have blocked Batken-Samarkandek-Leilek road, Turmush reports. The road was blocked at around 1.25 pm today. In this area the Kyrgyz-Tajik border was not defined.
The reason why the road was blocked is unknown yet.
Last time, the given road was blocked in March 2019. The conflict between the Kyrgyz village of Ak-Sai and Tajik village of Mekhnatabad occurred at that time.
Around 200 citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan gathered on the border and after verbal exchange attacked each other with stones. The conflict was caused by construction of the Aksai-Tamdyk road in Batken district.
