Bishkek, July 23, 2019. /Kabar/. A team of 25 members of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces on August 5-12 will take part in the Safe Route International competition of engineering units, held as part of the International Army Games 2019 at the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School named after Marshal Proshlyakov in Russia, the press service of the General Staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces reported.
For this purpose, the Kyrgyz engineers under the guidance of head trainer, Colonel Koshkeyev underwent appropriate training at the Edelweiss training center, where they were equipped with special grounds with various types of obstacles. In particular, the servicemen honed their skills in overcoming fords, antipersonnel minefields, mined antipersonnel bridges, anti-tank ditches, forest debris, track bridges, various maneuvering areas, etc. All the above mentioned obstacles are included in the main competition program.
"At present, our team is already at the Andreyev training ground of the Russian Ministry of Defense, where they are undergoing enhanced preparation for the competition," the General Staff’s press service reported.
The Safe Route International engineering competition has been held since 2015. This year representatives of Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia will take part in it. All participants will perform on the Russian engineering equipment, the competition consists of 4 stages.
