Bishkek, July 24, 2019. /Kabar/. Kanatbek Mamatov, the president of the Football Federation of Kyrgyzstan has been confirmed as deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Social Responsibility, the press service of the federation reported.
It is a standing committee of the main football organization of the Asian continent. Social responsibility is one of the most important points of the AFC policy and a source of the football family unification.
AFC Secretary General Dato’ Windsor congratulated Mamatov on his appointment and expressed hope that his arrival will contribute to the further development of the confederation.
"I am sure that your experience, professionalism and support will become important for the further development of the AFC and helps to make significant progress in the new position. Congratulations on your appointment and full of expectations from further work with you," Dato’ Windsor said in his congratulatory letter.
Kanatbek Mamatov is a member of the AFC executive committee. At the last meeting of the elected Congress of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) his candidacy was supported. Mamatov represents and defends the interests of 6 countries.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the governing body of association football in Asia and Australia. It has 47 member countries, mostly located on the Asian and Australian continent, but excludes the transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkey – which are instead members of UEFA.
