Bishkek, July 24, 2019. /Kabar/. The State Service of Intellectual Property and Innovations (Kyrgyz Patent) plans to switch to an automated mode of operation by the end of the year, Dinara Moldosheva, the Chairwoman of the Kyrgyz Patent told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
She noted that within the framework of the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization, declared by Kyrgyz President, the Service concluded a memorandum with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
"We are currently implementing projects to digitalize the entire Kyrgyz Patent process, ranging the consideration of applications and expertise to the payment of remuneration. We set ambitious goals that we will launch in a pilot mode the work in the online format by the end of the year," she said.
In addition, as part of the development of the regions, Dinara Moldosheva said a branch was opened in Osh, where employees provide consulting services for expertise, registration and obtaining a patent, as well as for the collection of the author's remuneration.
"This year we've introduced an innovation. Now, hotels, hairdressers, beauty salons, fitness centers are mong those entities that have to pay for the use of a registered brand or music. This money is distributed among authors, composers and other persons involved," she explained.
The chairwoman stressed that in the first half of 2019, the number of patent fees amounted to KGS 4 million 693 thousand, which is 20% more than in 2018. These funds will be distributed.
