President Tokayev promises to help family of killed inspector

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said he will support the family of the inspector Kanysh Nurtazinov, who was killed in fighting against poachers, Tengrinews.kz reports. "Inspectors Kanysh Nurtazinov and Samat Ospanov showed courage while protecting environment of our country. Honor to them for that! The family and children of Nurtazinov will be rendered assistance and the name of the inspector will be perpetuated," the President posted on Twitter.
The head of state also ordered to reconsider the legislation on protection of rights of environmental inspectors and increase the size of fines for poachers.
Two inspectors on July 23 received gunshots while attempting to catch the poachers and prevent killing saigas. As a result, one of them was killed before arrival of doctors. The second inspector with severe traumas was delivered to a hospital.
