Bishkek, July 25, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov and Vice Prime Minister of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim held a meeting on the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
The talks were held in the spirit of good neighborliness, mutual understanding and cooperation, the Kyrgyz Government's press service reported.
During the talks, the sides reached an agreement on the opening of the roads Batken-Isfana, Isfara-Vorukh.
"On the eve, we had productive negotiations with the Tajik side to resolve the situation in the border area. In order to stabilize the situation and relieve tensions on the ground, the parties reached an agreement on the opening of the Batken-Isfana and Isfara-Vorukh roads. Roads are opened this morning. At the same time, among the local population, explanatory work was carried out to prevent illegal actions. Additional joint patrols of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Batken and Sughd regions are displayed," said Zhenish Razakov.
The sides continue to negotiate and exchange data on the situation.
