Bishkek, July 26, 2019. /Kabar/. 39 cases of mass food poisoning were registered in Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2019, Erkin Checheibayev, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Kyrgyzstan told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to his data, this figure is 9 more cases compared to last year.
"The analysis showed that the main causes of mass poisoning were violations of cooking technology, food storage, as well as failure to comply with sanitary standards by employees of cafes and restaurants," said the chief sanitary doctor.
In his opinion, the quality of inspections of public catering facilities has fallen significantly.
"This is very dangerous because catering facilities are, after all, public health safety. The inspections have been reduced, although there is need to have the sanitary inspection carried out at least twice a year," Checheibayev added.
