Health Ministry to regulate prices for hemodialysis procedures in private clinics

Bishkek, July 26, 2019. /Kabar/. 1 thousand 508 people in Kyrgyzstan receive hemodialysis procedures under the budget and on a preferential basis, Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev said during the press conference at Kabar Agency.
According to his data, as of today, 604 patients receive hemodialysis procedure on the budgetary basis, 117 of them in budgetary organizations.
"According to the results of the tender for the first half of 2019, 203 patients receive treatment in private clinics. The PPP provides 283 people with treatment. The order of organization and implementation of services is determined by the Government. This is the first time that the Health Ministry, the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund (CHIF), private partners, patients and Parliament members have made changes to the law in the interests of patients in a short period of time," Cholponbayev said.
He noted that, in addition, the Ministry of Health plans to regulate the price of hemodialysis services, which private clinics provide under an agreement with the ministry and the CHIF, and to ensure equal conditions for patients, and an equal price for all private clinics. "For this purpose, the Kyrgyz Health Ministry plans to transfer annually spent funds of KGS 225 million for 203 patients, and, at the same time, we can include additional 103 patients for free treatment with the above mentioned funds," the health minister summed up.
