Bishkek, July 28, 2019 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, met today in Cholpon-Ata with participants of the Forum of Youth Leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, talked with them in an informal atmosphere, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
The president expressed confidence that the Forum laid a solid foundation for further cooperation between the youth leaders of the two countries.
"We are linked with Russia by trusting relationships based on strong traditions of historical friendship, alliance and mutual respect. I have repeatedly noted, I would say once again that Russia is our close, reliable ally and strategic partner. Together with Russia, we intend to move forward, develop and strengthen relations," noted Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
During the conversation, the President stressed the symbolism of meeting with youth leaders in Issyk-Kul. "It was here that great writer, humanist, philosopher, planetary personality, our well-known countryman Chyngyz Aitmatov loved to work. His words that "for a person the most difficult task is to be a man every day" are relevant for each of us. Today, young leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Russia have gathered here. I am sure that you will continue the traditions of fruitful cooperation between our countries," Jeenbekov stressed.
"I was informed that the Forum was successful," the President said expressing confidence that the Forum would give impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
Jeenbekov gave a parting word to young leaders, recalling that youth is given to a man once and it is important to have time to realize all their projects, plans and opportunities, and wished success, health and happiness.
At the end of the meeting a joint photographing took place, the Forum participants presented symbolic gifts to the President.
Ambassador of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko also took part in the meeting.
The Forum began its work on July 25 in Bishkek and will be continued until July 30 in Cholpon-Ata. The organizers are the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation and the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the Forum, it is planned to develop an action plan for 2020 - the cross year of Kyrgyzstan in Russia and Russia in Kyrgyzstan.
