Bishkek, July 29, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held a meeting on the implementation of international agreements and business contracts, signed during the state visits of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Government reported.
During the meeting, Ministers of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov, Economy Sanjar Mukanbetov, Investments Promotion and Protection Agency Director Shumkarbek Adylbek uulu presented information on the ongoing work on the implementation of agreements between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as documents, signed during the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference and within the Kyrgyz-Chinese Business Forum.
53 documents for the total amount of USD 6 billion134 million 860 thousand, including USD 5 billion 514.7 million in investment and USD 620 million in trade were signed following the results of the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference "New Horizons of Strategic Partnership and Integration".
At the Kyrgyz-Chinese Business Forum, held during the visit of President of China Xi Jinping, 24 documents were signed for a total amount of USD 7 billion 828 million, aimed at expanding cooperation and implementation of investment projects in the mining, agro-industrial, educational and construction industries. In addition, an agreement was signed on the allocation of CNY 500 million of grant aid and the intention to allocate CNY 1.5 billion of grant aid for the period from 2019 to 2021 was confirmed.
"There is need to keep track of the implementation of the decisions made and to set out in detail the step-by-step ways of implementing the documents, to identify those responsible and to set specific deadlines. We must ensure their effective development so that our economy will get the proper return. Our citizens are waiting for serious results," the prime minister said.
As a result of the meeting, PM Abylgaziev once again stressed that during these international events breakthrough agreements were reached, and their qualitative and timely implementation is of great importance for the development of the national economy.
