Toktogul trout in good demand among tourists and in domestic market

Bishkek, July 29, 2019. / Kabar /. A group of entrepreneurs opened a trout breeding enterprise along Naryn River Kara-Kul town of Jalal-Abad Oblast.
Entrepreneur Beck Tilekov told Kabar Agency that before the start of fish farming, a research team was invited from the St. Petersburg Research Institute, who examined the banks of the river and gave their positive conclusion.
"The first trout fry were brought from Denmark. Today we have 240 tons of fish. In the capital, we have a processing plant where we produce caviar," he said.
The entrepreneur noted that all products go to the domestic market and are exported to neighboring Kazakhstan.
"The demand in the domestic market is good, we also send products to Almaty. In addition, our fish is in great demand among tourists," he concluded.
