Kyrgyz Tourism Awards – 2019 contest starts in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 29, 2019. /Kabar/. The Department of Tourism of Kyrgyzstan is holding the Kyrgyz Tourism Awards – 2019 national award contest.
"As of this year, the contest will be held on an annual basis. The victory will be awarded, based on the results of an open contest for the projects achieved in the field of tourism promotion," Kiyal Kenzhematova, the Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
17 certain nominations are envisaged in the contest.
The aim of the contest is to develop tourism, promote achievements and best practices in the field of tourism, form an interest in successful projects, and motivate them to improve the quality of services
Kiyal Kenzhematova said such an initiative will contribute to the formation of a positive image of Kyrgyzstan in the world arena, popularization of tourism and increasing the investment attractiveness of the country.
"Winners and prize-winners will be determined by nomination. The result will be known by the World Tourism Day - September 27," she concluded.
The evaluation committee also includes the standardization department of the Center for Standardization and Metrology of the Kyrgyz Republic. The department head Khaira Kasymova noted that their Center is also a consumer of services, including tourist services. "We want tourism services are provided in accordance with the standards," she said.
