Kyrgyz citizens to receive free legal advice in Moscow

Bishkek, July 29, 2019. /Kabar/. Project on consulting migrants - citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic on labor legal issues with the support of the Center of Solidarity will be launched in early August in Moscow on the basis of the representative office of the State Migration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia, the press service of the Kyrgyz State Migration Service reported.
"The project is aimed at strengthening the potential of citizens of Kyrgyzstan going to Russia to earn money in the field of labor law, as well as to promote measures to prevent forced labor and trafficking in human beings," Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service Samat Toktobolotov said.
In addition to legal advice, it is planned to hold various events to raise awareness of labor rights and trade unions as an effective mechanism for protecting labor rights, and to develop and disseminate information materials on labor rights and safe migration.
Note that the program is implemented within the Memorandum on Cooperation between the State Migration Service under the Kyrgyz Government and the Center of Solidarity, which aims to develop partnerships between relevant government agencies, public and international organizations, as well as migrant workers in the field of legal advice and mechanisms for the protection of labor rights.
