Shymkent court sentences child rapist to chemical castration

AKIPRESS.COM - A specialized district court of Shymkent sentenced the child abuser to 15 years in prison and a chemical castration, Informbureau reported. The court found the 40-year-old Erkinbek Alimbekov guilty of attemting to rape the 9-year-old girl. The girl could flee, when he released her hand.
After the this, Alimbek met another girl, 12, and tried to rape her by taking her to some place. His attempt to abuse the child failed as the girl cried and called for help.
The convict in 2003 had criminal records and got 10 years in prison for child abuse. The mental examination revealed that the man suffers from pedophilia.
Chemical castration will be held after the verdict enters into force.
The law on chemical castration in Kazakhstan was introduced since January 1, 2018.
