Unemployment rate makes 9.1% in Uzbekistan in H1

AKIPRESS.COM - The unemployment rate of Uzbekistan made 9.1% of economically active population in the first half of the year, which is by 0.2% less than in 2018, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations said.
The highest unemployment rate of 9.4% is reported in Kashkadarya, Syrdarya and Ferghana regions. The smallest unemployment rate of 7.7% is observed in Tashkent.
Job seekers are estimated at 1.34 million.
The unemployment rate among young citizens under 30 years made 15.1%. The unemployment rate among women stands at 12.7%.
