New mayor of Shymkent appointed

AKIPRESS.COM - Aitakhanov Erlan has been appointed as mayor of Shymkent city by the decree of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tengrinews.kz reports. He replaced in this position Gabidulla Abdrakhimov.
The 47-year-old Aitakhanov graduated from the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov majoring economist and the Kazakh State Law University majoring lawer.
Since 2016, he served as governor of Otyrar district of Turkestan region.
