Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan to cooperate in agrarian area

Tashkent, July 30, 2019. /Kabar/. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan plan to sign a roadmap for cooperation in agriculture in mid-August. This became known during the talks between Agriculture Minister of Uzbekistan Zhamshid Khodjaev and Kazakhstan's Deputy Agriculture Minister Gulmira Isayeva, the Uzbek ministry's press service said today.
"On Aug.19-20, Ministers of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Zhamshid Khodjaev and Kazakhstan Saparkhan Omarov will sign a roadmap, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector," the report said.
During the negotiations the issues of lentil and soybean growing with the study of Kazakhstan's experience, research on wheat and barley growing, as well as digitalization of agriculture and exchange of experience in this direction were also discussed.
