Abylgaziev instructs to ensure preparation of mechanisms to increase teachers' wages and pensions

Bishkek, July 31, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held a meeting to discuss the mechanisms of the upcoming increase teachers' salaries and pensions, the press service of the Government reported.
The prime minister stressed the particular importance of qualitative consideration of these issues.
"The role of teachers in the upbringing and development of the younger generation is invaluable and requires proper remuneration, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov have designated this issue in his election program and the Government should ensure clear and coordinated work. Today, we face the task to determine effective mechanisms for increasing the salaries of teachers this autumn. The state must find the necessary financial resources for this purpose. A particularly important issue is the increase of pensions. We must ensure an appropriate standard of living for our pensioners. The size of pensions will be increased this fall, and the relevant government agencies are working on this issue on a permanent basis," Abylgaziev said.
PM Abylgaziev instructed to ensure careful development of mechanisms for the upcoming increase in wages and pensions in the country, so that all the principles of accrual formation would be understandable to citizens and fair.
