Bishkek, Aug.1, 2019. /Kabar/. Young talent from Kyrgyzstan represented the country with dignity and demonstrated the musical culture and traditional songs of the Kyrgyz people.
The Youth Chamber Choir of TURKSOY, composed of students from the conservatories of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Tatarstan (the Russian Federation), conducted a 10-day tour of Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia. This year the repertoire of the Choir included mainly choral songs and works of modern composers of Turkic countries from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Tatarstan (Russia).
The Youth Choir under the direction of Kazakh conductor Gulmira Kuttybadamova demonstrated all the beauty and versatility of the choral art of the Turkic peoples in front of thousands of people from the Balkan countries.
The performances were organized with the support of the Yunus Emre Institute (Turkey) and representatives of the diplomatic missions of TURKSOY member countries located in the Balkans.
The Youth Chamber Choir of TURKSOY was established in 2015 at the initiative of Secretary General of the Organization, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Duisen Kaseinov to introduce Turkic music and choral art of Turkic countries to a wide international audience. The choir successfully goes on tour to Asia and Europe.
After the tour of the Balkan countries, the TURKSOY Youth Chamber Choir will perform at the 2019 IFCM World Choir Exhibition in Portugal.
The International Organization of Turkic Culture is an international cultural organization of countries with Turkic populations, speaking languages belonging to the Turkic language family.
Turksoy carries out activities to strengthen cultural ties between Turkic peoples. One of the main goals to transmit their common cultural heritage to future generations and promote it around the world.
