Tashkent, Aug.1, 2019. /Kabar/. The Kushan Treasures exclusive exhibition will open at the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan on Aug.22. within the large-scale project of the Cultural Heritage Week "Uzbekistan - the crossroads of civilizations: Empires, Religions, Cultures".
The exhibition will showcase the rarest artifacts of the times of the mysterious and once mighty Kushan Empire, which emerged in Central Asia in the middle of the I century AD.
"The Kushan Treasures exhibition is held in Tashkent for the first time by numerous requests of international scientists. It is exclusive and unique, its peculiarity is the demonstration of the legendary kushan gold, found at the excavations of the ancient site of Dalverzin Tepe in Surxondaryo Region," Uzbek Art gallery director Temirkhodjayev said at a press conference.
The Week of Cultural Heritage "Uzbekistan – the crossroads of civilizations: Empires, Religions, Culture" will be held on Aug. 22-27 in four cities of Uzbekistan - Tashkent, Termez, Bukhara and Khiva.
About 300 scientists from all over the world have expressed their desire to take part in the event, and more than 50 foreign media will cover this grandiose event. The exclusive Kushan Treasures exhibition will be open to the public for 10 days.
