Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2019. / Kabar /. "It is very gratifying to note the desire of the parties to complete the remaining undescribed sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border," said Kyrgyz Prime Minister Muhammedkaly Abylgaziev at an expanded meeting with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
"The strong basis of good neighborly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is the Declaration on Strategic Partnership, Strengthening Friendship, Neighborhood and Confidence, signed in October 2017 in Tashkent. I would like to note with satisfaction that in recent years enormous changes have been observed in bilateral relations between our countries. The most important treaty for our peoples was signed on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. Agreement on confidence-building measures in the border area. Agreement on cooperation in the military sphere. In general, a lot of collaboration was done. The parties have resolved many pressing controversial issues," he said.
The head of government separately noted the desire of the parties to complete the remaining undescribed sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. "This process continues and in the future we hope for the full legalization of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. In this regard, I consider it important to strengthen the work of government delegations on the delimitation and demarcation of state borders between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan. I hope that in the near future the parties will sign a corresponding agreement," Abylgaziev said.
