Bishkek, Aug. 2, 2019. /Kabar/. The list of countries whose citizens are subject to a simplified visa regime has been expanded, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
In particular, the list of countries includes: Algeria’s People’s Democratic Republic, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of India, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Morocco, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Federal Republic of Nepal, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Tunisian Republic, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka .
At the same time, citizens of the aforementioned states must permanently and legally reside in the territory of the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the State of Brunei Darussalam, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain (must have resident cards of the above countries).
Short-term tourist visas for visiting the Kyrgyz Republic for a period of up to 1 month will be issued in a simplified manner (on the basis of personal appeal, without the invitation) with the provision of resident cards and resident visas (residence permits) of the aforementioned Gulf countries.
"The introduction of a simplified regime will allow us to attract guests from the Middle East to our country, which is especially important given the opening flights from the Gulf countries," the report said.
It should be noted that the Kyrgyz Republic became the first country in the region to introduce a simplified visa regime for residents of developed Arab countries of the Middle East.
