Uzbekistan, United States discuss bilateral ties

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov today met with James Kulikowski, State Department Coordinator for U.S. Assistance to Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia. The sides noted a high dynamics of bilateral ties and outcomes of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the United States, when practical issues of further cooperation in various areas were considered, the Foreign Ministry said.
Concrete issues of cooperation and implementation of joint projects in economic and technical modernization, agricultural, health care and education sectors were considered.
A special attention was paid to prospects of cooperation in mitigation of the consequences of the Aral Sea disaster in the framework of the Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea.
