Bishkek, Aug.4, 2019. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with Ambassador of Russia to Kyrgyzstan Nikolay Udovichenko.
The prime minister noted Kyrgyzstan attaches special importance to further development of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation, the press service of the Government reported.
Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said in addition to the visit, the 21st meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation and the 8th Interregional Conference were successfully held this year.
"In the near future, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is expected to visit Cholpon-Ata town (Issyk-Kul) to participate in the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. In this regard, I would like to emphasize that the dynamics of the Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation is at a very high level and we are doing everything to further increase it," the prime minister said.
Abylgaziev drew attention to the fact that 53 documents worth more than USD 6 billion had been signed during the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as the 8th Interregional Conference.
In addition, PM Abylgaziev informed the Kyrgyz side had established the Organizing Committee within the framework of the agreements, reached by the heads of state on Declaring 2020 as the cross year of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic, and a detailed joint action plan is being worked out.
Ambassador Nikolay Udovichenko noted the dynamic development of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation and expressed readiness to support the qualitative implementation of the reached agreements and signed contracts.
The sides discussed number of issues, related to trade and economic, cultural-humanitarian cooperation and other topical issues of bilateral relations.
