Bishkek, Aug.5, 2019. /Kabar/. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved the Cyber Security Strategy for 2019-2023 and the Action Plan for its implementation, Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev has signed the relevant decision, the Government’s press service reported.
The purpose of the resolution is to form a national cyber security strategy to ensure the level of security of citizens, businesses and the state, to protect their vital interests in cyberspace and ensure sustainable social and economic development of Kyrgyzstan, including the digital transformation of the national economy.
The Strategy defines the approaches and vision for the implementation of the following issues:
- Establishing clearly delineated organizational structures, such as computer incident response teams to ensure cyber security of banking, telecommunications and other service infrastructure, and cyber threat monitoring and response centers;
- Development of a legal and methodological framework for combating computer-related crime;
- Establishing a national information security system, including a cryptographic protection system;
- Formation of a system to ensure the security of the critical information infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the cyber security of government agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Technical standardization and international cooperation in the field of cyber security;
- Building and strengthening human capacity in the area of cyber security.
