AKIPRESS.COM - Construction of oil refinery worth $420 million started in West Kazakhstan region, LS reports with reference to the regional administration. The project is being implemented by ABS-Munai LLC in cooperation with West Hydrocarbons Commerical Investment LLC.
The plant is being built in Algabas village, Terekti district, West Kazakhstan region. It will produce petroleum, diesel fuel, kerosene and bitumen.
As of today, 59.8 ha of land has been purchased for construction. The oil refinery is expected to be commissioned in 2021, the regional administration noted.
The products will be exported to the CIS countries and non-CIS countries. 80% of them will be realized within the country.
The plant will produce 750,000 tons of product a year.
