Security issues in field of subsoil use under Government’s special control

Bishkek, Aug.6, 2019. /Kabar/. The implementation of the decision of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan "On measures to ensure security in the use of subsoil resources of the Kyrgyz Republic" is under special control of Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, the Government’s press service said.
Note, the Security Council meeting, chaired by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov was held on Jan. 30, 2019.
The Government of Kyrgyzstan sees as its priority the resolution of the serious problems, accumulated over the years in the mining sector and the entire sphere of subsoil use, including inefficient interaction between local governments, investors and the local population, which hinders the development of the mining industry.
The Government is working to implement the decision of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the improvement of the legislation regulating the use of subsoil resources.
