Demand for Kazakh wheat increasing in China

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Saparkhan Omarov on August 3 met with representatives of the Chinese company COFCO International, the Ministry reported.
The sides discussed export of the Kazakh products to China.
The annual trade turnover of agricultural products of the Chinese company amounts to 150 million tons. The assets of the company is estimated at $13 billion (60% stakes in Brazil, Argentine and others).
To date, the demand for the Kazakh wheat is increasing in China for production of noodles.
Omarov proposed the Chinese side to consider the issue of investing in the project on advanced refining of bast fiber on the territory of Kazakhstan.
The company said it is ready for holding talks with the Kazakh companies on import of the alfalfa.
