Chinese company workers leave Solton-Sary and partially remove equipment from gold field

Bishkek, Aug. 7, 2019 / Kabar /. The workers of Chinese Zhong Ji Mining Company left the Solton-Sary field and partially removed the equipment, head of Naryn Interregional Department of the State Ecotechnical Inspection Ulan Zhanbaev told Kabar Agency.
Workers of the Chinese company brought more than 10 Howo trucks to the company's lower camp. "There was no one left at the field except police officers," Zhanbaev said.
He also said that the socio-political situation in the region is stable.
On Aug. 5, 2019, residents of Naryn region gathered at Solton-Sary deposit demanding to suspend the activities of the Chinese company in the gold ore deposit.
The number of participants was about 300 people. Later, a conflict occurred between locals and employees of the Chinese company. Both sides began to throw stones at each other. As a result, there are victims who were taken to the territorial hospital. Later, some were discharged for outpatient treatment.
