Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan create common tourist destinations

Tashkent, Aug.7, 2019. /Kabar/. Priority areas of mutual cooperation in tourism were discussed at the Road Show event "Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan: Great Steppes - Traditional Hospitality", the press service of the Uzbek State Committee for Tourism Development said.
The participants exchanged views on the development of the tourism industry, as well as the formation of an effective mechanism of interaction on the development and promotion of tourism products on the Silk Road.
Special attention was paid to the propaganda and development of border cooperation through the creation of joint tours in the section of the Great Silk Road in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the creation of common tourist destinations. The event participants also discussed the creation of a tourism cluster linking the cities of Turkestan, Samarkand and Bukhara in one direction.
The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of ministries and departments, government agencies, national companies of the two countries, representatives of the tourism industry of Tashkent Region of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan’s Turkestan.
The Department of Tourism of the Tashkent Region, the administration of Tashkent, the Uzbek Embassy in Kazakhstan, the Department of Tourism of the Turkestan Region organized the event within the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
