Gastronomic Tourism Association set up in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Gastronomic Tourism Association has been opened in Uzbekistan, the State Tourism Committee said.
The aim of the Association is organization of various events, including exhibitions, festivals, forums, seminars, conferences, round tables, competitions devoted to gastronomic history of Uzbek cuisine, as well as implementation of projects to bolster development of tourism.
In a move to extend tourist season, the Association will hold the National Cuisine Festival each November and will attract international travel agencies and organize gastronomic tours across Uzbekistan.
"Uzbek cuisine is one of the attractions for foreign tourists in our country. The Gastronomic Association will develop and popularize gastronomic brands of Uzbekistan," Gulnoza Odilova, Chairperson of the Association, said.
The museum of Uzbek national gastronomy will be set up in Uzbekistan.
