AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the events that are happening in Kyrgyzstan today are the country's internal affairs, Tengrinews.kz reports. "The President of Kazakhstan keeps a close eye on the situation in Kyrgyzstan. The head of state says what is happening in the neighboring country is internal affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Tokayev hopes for a speedy normalization of the situation based on the current legislation," spokesman of the President Berik Uali told reporters.
Special service of Kyrgyzstan on August 7 started operation on detention of former President Almazbek Atambayev in the village of Koi-Tash. 43 people received injuries, one died as a result. However, the ex-President was not detained.
