President Jeenbekov: Atambayev grossly violates Constitution and laws of Kyrgyz Republic

Bishkek, Aug.8, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s President Sooronbay Jeenbekov today, Aug.8 held the meeting of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, his press service said.
The head of state noted that Former President Almazbek Atambayev grossly violated the Constitution and laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, severely resisting investigation within the framework of the law.
Jeenbekov noted Kyrgyzstan is a rule of law state, its duty is to ensure that all citizens strictly comply with the law.
The President addressed the members of the Security Council, stressing the need to implement all measures to preserve the rule of law, peace and security in the country, therefore there is need to take immediate action.
State Committee for National Security Chairman Orozbek Opumbayev, Minister of Internal Affairs Kashkar Dzhunushaliyev and Prosecutor General Otkurbek Dzhamshitov presented information on the current situation.
An appropriate decision was taken following the meeting.
