Criminal cases opened after clash in Koi-Tash village

Criminal cases were opened after a clash in Koi-Tash village. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
According to it, in the framework of pre-trial proceedings on the fact of Almazbek Atambayev's involvement in the illegal release of the kingpin Aziz Batukaev, the former president was summoned for questioning three times as a witness to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, however, the legal requirements of the investigating authorities were ignored.
"In connection with this, the investigator issued a decision on the forced bringing of Almazbek Atambayev, the execution of which was entrusted to the employees of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic. In order to execute the order, the SCNS officers left for Koi-Tash village, however, the supporters of the latter put up armed resistance to the authorities with the use of weapons and other items. In addition, in order to prevent the investigation, riots involving use of violence were organized," the statement says.
The fact was registered on the grounds of crimes stipulated by Articles 264 (riots) and 266 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the clash, 47 people were hospitalized to Chui and Bishkek territorial hospitals with various bodily injuries, including 22 employees of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and 23 civilians. One employee of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic died from a gunshot wound.
The collected materials were registered under Articles 130 (murder), 39-130 (attempted murder) and 355 (threat or violence against a government official) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, the fact of taking SCNS employees hostage by supporters of Almazbek Atambayev was registered on the grounds of Article 244 (hostage-taking) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, pre-trial proceedings have been started on the above mentioned facts.
Recall, security forces tried to conduct a special operation on detention of Almazbek Atambayev in Koi-Tash yesterday, but it failed.
