Immunization of children with rotavirus vaccine to be launched in Kyrgyzstan since October — Ministry of Health

AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek on August 13 hosted a conference on introducing of the rotavirus vaccination of children, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported. The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund.
The Ministry of Health on the recommendations of experts on immunization took a decision to launch rotavirus vaccination into the calendar. Immunization of children will start since October 2019.
Introduction of the rotavirus vaccination should decrease incidence of severe rotavirus gastroenteritis and prevent fatalities from the deceases.
