AKIPRESS.COM - Public funds that were created for development purposes in Issyk-Kul region today raised 76 million som, governor of the region Akylbek Osmonaliyev said on August 14 at a press conference. "We have 174 villages and 61 rural governments. We are planning to create public funds in each village and open bank accounts. The funds are being raised. Within 6 months, 76 million som have been transferred to the public funds, including 19 million som in cash and 56 million som in the form of material support of our villages," he said.
According to him, the funds are financially supported by residents of Issyk-Kul region and migrant workers abroad.
The raised money will be spent for support of low-income families and resolution of problems.
