Employees of Sary-Chelek reserve repair 15 km of road leading to lake

AKIPRESS.COM - Employees of the Sary-Chelek state biosphere reserve repaired 3 km of the internal road in the village of Arkyt and 15 km of the road leading to the Sary-Chelek lake for their own expenses, the press service of the State Environmental and Forestry Agency reported.
All construction works have been completed today.
In addition, more than 300 residents of Arkyt and Kyzyl-Tuu villages received free medical aid and examination for 67,000 som at the initiative of the leadership of the state reserve.
The total territory of the reserve is 23,868 ha. The reserve is home to more than 40 mammalian species, 175 birds and 5 fish. Most of them are included in the list of those endangared.
