Freight turnover in EAEU increases by 3.1 trillion tons within 6 months — EEC

AKIPRESS.COM - The freight turnover of all types of transport of the Eaurasian Economic Union member states in January-June 2019 amounted to 3 trillion 176.5 million tons, which is 1.5 times more than in 2018, the Eurasian Economic Commission reported.
The volume of cargo transportation (without pipeline transport) during the reported period increased by 0.87% making 5,069.8 million tons.
The freight turnover (without pipeline transport) compared to the same period of last year grew by 2.2% and amounted to 1 trillion 739.3 billion tons.
The freight cargo in the EAEU countries amounted to 3 trillion 176.5 billion tons: pipeline transport - 1 trillion 437.2 billion ton km, railway transport - 1 trillion 469.5 billion tons, motor transport - 222.5 billion tons, air transport - 3,564 million tons, water transport - 43 billion 921.3 million tons.
