Cancer diagnostics to become free in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Detection of cancer diseases in Kazakhstan will be free of charge, the first TV channel Eurasia reported. Specialists claim that cancer can be treated. Within the mandatory medical insurance, doctors plan to increase a number of cured patients and reach the figures of the European countries.
About 185 thousand cancer patients are registered in Kazakhstan. Almost 35,000 new cases are registered each year. About 60% of patients are diagnosed in early phase of the disease. According to director of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology, all necessary treatment is offered free of charge for patients. However, there are expensive diagnostic procedures that are paid by patients.
Free diagnostics of patients will allow patients to get an opportunity to reveal their diseases in early phases and timely start their treatment.
