Spokesman of the committee Nursultan Nurakhmetov said a highly skilled group of Kazakh alpinists arrived in Karkara base camp in Almaty region on August 19 at 1:20 pm. "A MI-171 helicopter is prepared for further deployment of alpinists to Kyrgyzstan. Rescue operation will start as soon as weather conditions will get better. Now rain continues down the Tian Shan mountains, snow - in the high mountains of the Tian Shan," he said.
The Minstry of Foreign Affairs reported that except for alpinists from Kazakhstan rescue operation will involve a team of professionals from Kyrgyzstan and Russia, who agreed to help.
A group of Kazakh alpinists started moving to the Victory peak on August 4.
