Babanov summoned by National Security Committee for interrogation

AKIPRESS.COM - Politician Omurbek Babanov has been summoned by the National Security Committee for interrogation, the GKNB said on August 20.
The interrogation will be held as part of the criminal probe against him opened by the Prosecutor General's Office in relation to his remarks made at a meeting with residents of Amir-Timur neighborhood in Osh city on September 28, 2017 during his presidential campaign. Babanov is a witness in this criminal case.
Babanov arrived in Bishkek on August 9 after a self-exile since 2017.
On August 19, Babanov was summoned by the financial police. He was interrogated from 3-4 pm to 10 pm as a witness in a case related to the Commercial Bank Kyrgyzstan.
