Bishkek, Aug.20, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary Bakyt Dzhusupov took part in The Ancestors Day international cultural event to preserve traditions, held in Bugac village, Hungary.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that delegations from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, China (Uyghuristan), Mongolia, Moldova (Gagauzia), Uzbekistan, Russia (Bashkiria and Tatarstan), Turkey, and Turkmenistan were also represented at the event.
The Ancestors Day is an event that includes dramatized shows, musical performances, archeological and anthropological exhibitions and a crafts fair. The festival is held in the format of an ethnofestival and consists of a nomadic village of 50 yurts, which attracts more than 200 thousand tourists.
In order to popularize the culture and tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Hungary demonstrated the Kyrgyz yurt, where stands of applied arts were exhibited, including a large variety of felt products, as well as a separate stand of illustrated publications on Kyrgyzstan, its tourist attractiveness and information materials on the World Nomad Games.
Within the framework of The Ancestors Day, Dzhusupov also held a meeting with the organizer of the event and a representative of the Hungarian delegation András Zsolta Bíró on participation of Kyrgyzstan in the Kurultai event in 2020.
