Radiation level measured in Kazakhstan after explosion at Russian naval test site

AKIPRESS.COM - Radiation level has been measured in Kazakhstan after explosion of the nuclear reactor in Arkhangelsk region on Russia's northern frontier, Tengrinews.kz reports with reference to Kazhydromet. To date, monitoring of the radiation background and radiation pollution on the surface is underway on the territory of Kazakhstan.
According to reports, radiation ground in the Kazakh regions bordering Russia (West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Northern Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Eastern Kazakhstan regions) is normal as of August 19. The results of laboratory analyses of beta active fallout will be published until September 5.
