Regional development: modern maternity hospital built in Chui Oblast’s Tokmok

Tokmok, Aug.20, 2019. /Kabar/. A modern maternity hospital worth KGS 57 million is being built in Tokmok town, Chui Oblast. The main sponsor of the project is AL-SAFA foundation, Kuwait.
Tokmok Mayor Daniyar Amangeldiyev said there was no maternity hospital in the town before, and medical hostel served as hospital.
"Before the beginning of the project, we held a meeting with doctors of the town, at which doctors reported the need to build a maternity hospital. The AL-SAFA Foundation allocated 57 million on a grant basis. Tokmok Mayor’s Office allocated 1 hectare of land on the territory of the hospital. Construction works started about a week ago, and the object will be commissioned in 2020. The hospital is designed for 30 beds, with a surgical department," he said.
In addition, the mayor said that the allocated money would be used to purchase all the necessary equipment.
